OUR STORY

A long long time ago (at least in Internet time) back in 2006 we decided to be masters of our own destiny. We packed our bags and left Stockholm for the vibriant city of Barcelona. We went there to find inspiration, write our first business plan and enjoy life by the Mediterranean. And that’s exactly what we did! At least for a year until it was time to head back to Stockholm again.

The first few years of our journey we tried our different paths by learning everything (or at least a lot) about the future of digital media consumption and production. We made a living as consultants helping agencies adapt to what would later be called “social media” while from time to time we would produce video and audio in our own projects. What we found in our search for the future of marketing and communication turned out to be one of the oldest phenomena in human history – storytelling.

It turns out that what worked in ancient times still works. A good story is something that engages people and makes them want to pass it on to others. But the world is a different place these days in some ways and there are changes in both in technology and our expectations when it comes great storytelling.

People don’t have the patience to listen to long-winded  boring stories and the competition for people’s attention is getting greater for each day that passes. That’s where we enter the stage and help you figure out what story to tell and then we also help you create it and pass it on to the public.

So what is your story?

<< “Puck Cinema Caravana” is the worlds smallest cinema. This concept proves that big isn’t always better. Sometimes a smaller but more engaged audience is the way to go, it depends on what your target audience is. Who do you want to reach with your stories?

OUR OWN STUFF

We love movies and online video and if those two combined could inspire us to change an attitude or to be more aware of what’s going on in the world that’s not bad, not bad at all. A good documentary can make a very strong impact and since we love to be both inspired and to learn about the world we watch quit a lot of documentaries. Therefor we run a blog in Swedish called Dokumentärbloggen.se which is a blog about documentaries. We write about documentaries we’ve seen and other news within the world of documentaries.

Besides writing we wanted to do something more at ease, something in which we could talk more about the story behind the documentary, what it was all about and what we thought of it. With all these aspects in mind and the fact that we already have another podcast we decided to start one that was only about documentaries, it’s called “Dokumentärpodden“(The Documentary Pod) and makes running Dokumentärbloggen.se even more fun!

For our first episode we have watched and discuss Morgan Spurlock’s latest movie “The greatest movie ever sold” which is about product placement. On Saturday 3th of September it was premiered in Sweden at a drive-in in Stockholm arranged by Stockholm International Film Festival and Mini Cooper.

Back in 2008 we actually made one our selves called “Wiretapping Sweden” that got over 33 000 views. It was at the time when the Swedish blogosphere started a grassroots movement against a new law that lets Swedish authorities wiretapp all Internet traffic and telephone calls in and out of Sweden called the FRA-law.

CASES

We work with Fairtrade Sweden both by helping them with campaign videos like this one for World Fairtrade Day from earlier this year and with other digital stuff regarding their web page and online presence in social media.

More cases coming up soon.
