Below you’ll find a few of our own projects. We’ll soon add more information about what we are working on at the moment. Stay tuned!
Trend Report: Urban Lifestyle Report – New Media
From 2007 to early 2009 we produced a subscription based trend report called Urban Lifestyle Report – New Media about the ever evolving media landscape. Here is one our issues:
In the future this trend report might change format, and we are working on the right formula right now. We will update this information and write about on our blog when the new format is ready. It might be more video centric like some of the videos we produced to promote the report. Here are a few examples of videos under this label.
In January 2008 we met up with Mathys van Abbe in Amsterdam to talk about what he was doing with Mobypicture and more:
In November 2008 we went to SIME in Stockholm, here’s the highlights video:
If you want to see each video, head over to this page and also take a look at this video interview we did with David Sifry (founder of Technorati and OffBeat Guides) in his cab.
In February 2009 it was time for the first ever Twestival in Stockholm. We were there and Linda did a quick interview with Raiha Buchanan, one of the organizers behind the local event.
Lo-fi web documentary: Wiretapping Sweden
To show the world that you only need a cheap video camera and some imagination to get a message out to the world we at Urban Lifestyle made this low budget web documentary called Wiretapping Sweden about a new wiretapping law in Sweden. The documentary was viewed by over 22 000 people.
Internet show about craft beer: FemKommaNoll.TV
We think that one of the best ways to get your message out there is to do videos about the things you love. You can tell when someone is very passionate about something. One of Tomas’ passions in life is craft beer. Together with Johan Sandberg he runs a video podcast about craft beer in Swedish called FemKommaNoll.TV.
Blog about entrepreneurship: Innovationsbloggen.se
Innovationsbloggen.se is a blog about innovation and entrepreneurship currently not active. We started it because we thought there was a whole in the area of innovation blogs in Sweden. Right now that area is over saturated and we are at the moment considering if and how this blog would be relevant to start up again. We also produced a few video- and audio podcast episodes in Swedish related to the blog:
Audio podcast in Swedish: TorsdagsSurr
TorsdagsSurr #5 – Facebook vs. Twitter, iKindle & Abba behöver mer pengar by Innovationsbloggen
TorsdagsSurr will soon “come to live” once again, this time the content will be a little bit different… If you subscribe to our rss or check in from time to time on our blog you’ll read more about it in a short while. Until then you can always listen to our old episodes if you like.
Startup concept in the area of books: FörstaKapitlet.se
We produced a couple of videos to promote a web service in the field of books called FörstaKapitlet.se. The videos are about the future of reading and book production and the videos (in Swedish) were called “På Spaning med FörstaKapitlet.se“. The development of the service is still going on and we’ll let you know in time here on our blog and at the blog for the service.
Campaign and development site: 10veckor.com
After we participated in 24hourbusinesscamp, a Swedish camp for web entrepreneurs back in January 2009, we decided to continue to work with the idea behind FörstaKapitlet.se. We got so inspired by the concept behind 24hourbusinesscamp that we decided to do sort of a internal camp of our own that we called 10veckor.com. The concept was that we would have a first beta-version of the site launched in 10 weeks and that we would be very transparent during that period of time. Things changed after a few weeks and we had to go back into stealth mode again but it was a very interesting journey to “let people in” the way we did and we learned a lot along the way. Besides transmitting our meetings live via webcam we also did a summary video every week:
If you want to look at all of the videos we did during those few weeks head over to our Viddler account.
Video podcast about micro-blogging: Mikrobloggar.se
When the term “micro-blog” became a huge hype in Sweden earlier this year we decided to make use of it to try to make something with video that was related to micro-blogs. We usually try out stuff at an early stage because we think that is the best way to find out if this is something you want to continue doing and that works. Mikrobloggar.se was a video podcast (in Swedish) that didn’t last that long but we still had fun and learned a lot along the way. The idea from the start was to summarize in video what people were talking about on different micro-blogs, the “news angle” evolved into something attempting to be more entertaining:
